Dr. Istvan Fekete aka Dr. Ist, Deputy General Manager of Vipulse Production Hungary, is one of those people. From growing up in a small village in southern Hungary to building a diverse career across geology, supply chain, production, and general management, Dr. Ist’s journey has always been driven by curiosity, learning, and the desire to create. Today, at Vipulse, he brings that same energy to building teams, inspiring colleagues, and helping shape an organization ready to grow and adapt for the future.

What stands out about Dr. Ist is the energy he brings to the people around him. Dr. Ist’s career has taken him across a remarkable range of industries and responsibilities. Starting with geology and later moving into grain trading, purchasing, supply planning, supply chain management, production, and general management, he has gained experience across FMCG, IT and telecommunications, automotive, foundry, and consultancy. Working with colleagues from dozens of different nationalities has also given him a broad international perspective. Today, he brings this diverse experience to Vipulse, combining analytical thinking, operational knowledge, and people focused leadership to help build an organization prepared for a rapidly changing business environment.

What brought Dr. Ist to Vipulse was not simply another career opportunity, but the people, the vision, and the opportunity to build something that can last for decades. He enjoys spending time with his wife and grandson, staying active through tai chi and Nordic walking, and exploring museums, where he can easily spend several hours immersed in history and new ideas. He also has a great sense of humor and is comfortable laughing at his own mistakes. His curiosity extends beyond his everyday interests as well, from books and history to science and the future of artificial intelligence.

Perhaps the most significant milestone in Dr. Ist’s life was his experience with cancer. Rather than allowing the experience to define him, he describes it as a gentle reminder to appreciate every day as a gift. Since then, he has carried a deeper sense of gratitude into both his personal and professional life. It has reinforced his belief in making the most of each day, valuing the people around him, and continuing to learn, contribute, and move forward with purpose.
